Assessment mission (Integrated approach Health/Nut/EHA/SAME)

The unstable security in the lake Chad basin, the armed conflicts, the sporadic attacks and the floods have significantly worsened the living conditions at the Far North region in Cameroon. As a result, we notice massive internal displacement and the arrival of refugees from Nigerian and Chad. This situation puts many households in precariousness and vulnerable situation which need emergency humanitarian aid especially in regards to food security, water and sanitation, nutrition and health. It is in this context that, starting in 2018, the NGOs SI and ALIMA implemented the ECHO projects in the Far North region in Cameroon. They were implemented as consecutive projects (ECHO 2018 and 2019) in order to provide a joint response following an integrated approach in the health, nutrition, EHA and SAME sector.
